In this chapter, we learn that the only surviving member of the party is Futashige, and that he has spent a good deal of time looking at the map. He realizes that his goal is to kill as many people as he can, but he doesn't want to die in order to do so. He also realizes that he's a "nean derthal" , meaning that he can't be shamed by being a member of a group of people who don't share his goals. He's not afraid of death, he says, and he'll live to see if he ever comes back to life. He says that if he were ever to come back from the dead, he'd swear to himself that he was back in the real world. He wants to eat some monster meat so he won't have to kill anyone. He wonders if the girl is sleeping, and wonders if it's the same girl who fought with him and the other party members. He asks about the girl's father, and is told that he is a "super - rare figure" . He then wonders if she's around, and she says that she is, too young to be his age. He tells her that he tried to heal the girl with magic as they fled, but she didn't make it. She's sleeping, he tells her, and they're fighting along side of each other. They're both dead, and the girl seems to be asleep. He tries to figure out what's going on with the girl, and says that he thinks she is a young girl and her father, but that she isn't. He thinks that the girl might be sleeping, but wonders if that's because she is too young for the battle. He knows that the man is around,
