The monk, jangani, and the monk's son, jahdu, are on their way back to the village when they run into a familiar-looking man. The monk says that the man is looking right at them, and that he's going to hunt down the woman and restore her to her former identity. He's not altruistic, he says, but he'll do his best to defeat Malita. The family has already defeated the monster, but Malita is stronger than any other creature they've faced so far. The first two sons have died, but the second son is still alive, so the family is still able to fight the monster. The only problem, the monk says, is that he doesn't have any remaining heirs from his wife, so they'll have to ask the monk for permission to marry her.
