In the meantime, we find out that Cai-Li is back in the city, and that he's been followed by rebirth X's hunters. We learn that he wants to hand over cynthia to her, but Cai-Ling wants to keep her safe, too, since he knows that she's a vampire. He also wants to know why he'd want to expose her to the vampire. The vampire tells him that his heart is with him, and he'll kill him if he tries to harm him.
