The next day, Dr. Bledsoe and Lockwood go to the experimental center to find out what's going on. Lockwood says that he doesn't know much about burning stars and that he's not sure if what Dr. Owen said is true. He also says that the guards will be looser at night, so he'll have to rely on himself. He tells Lockwood to hide in the back of his car so that he can easily get in and out.
