Back at the cemetery, the Governess tells her sister that she's just returned from a visit with Li-bai. She's worried that he'll be suspicious of her, but she doesn't want to upset him. The Governess explains that she came to see her late because she wanted to make sure that she didn't betray her sister's dead body to the devil. She also wants to know why she'd want to use her relationship with the devil to get revenge on him.
