It's been a while since we've seen Toda, but she's back in Chapter 31 with her dad, akama. She's bummed out that she forgot to put some food in the bag, but akama assures her that everything's fine. Toda asks if she should go out with her sister, and akama tells her that she'd be a good choice. He also tells Toda that he's pretty sure that akari would turn him down, since she was dumped earlier in the day. He tells her about how akari used to cry all by herself, and how she offered to help him out when he was her age. So that's how she ended up offering to help out when she was just her age . Akama is all, "Hey, I'd bet you're going to get going" , and Toda's like, "You're back!" . She asks if he hates her this much, and he tells her it's because she hasn't told him anything. He then tells her to come back and see him later, and she says she'll call him later.
