About This Chapter
The principal announces that he's going to Hawaii over summer break to see the fireworks. He hopes that everyone will have a good vacation too. The students are excited about the fireworks, but they're also excited about summer school. The principal asks the students if they'd like to go to the festival. Everyone is excited, except for the summer school students. The boys are excited because they haven't had summer school in a long time. The girls are excited, too, because they've been waiting for summer school to start. The boy asks if he can go with his friends, and the girl says she'd rather go with her friends because she's so slow. She's also excited because she wants to go with someone she likes, but the boy doesn't have an invitation yet. The girl asks if she can borrow the boy's yukata, and he says he'll come with her. He's excited because it's summer break and he wants to get away from school for a few days. He also wants to meet up with his sister, who's been talking about the rabbits.
