This chapter's epigraph is from the opening lines of the play, "No , no , backwards ram mixed emotions gather no . . I gotta calm down" . In other words, the play's plot is based on the fact that the master of the universe is in a bad mood. He's got bad news: someone's approaching the moon cave. The master jumps out of the cave and yells at someone to get out of there. The crackle crackle crack in the cave tells the master that he's lost Linghu . Linghu has managed to fool the master, so he'll have to kill him. He orders that Linghu be captured and put to death in the "demonic beast mountain" , which is the most dangerous place in the kingdom. He can't go there alone, but he has no other choice.
