In this chapter, we learn that the Duke of Guizhou has sent a letter to Linghu, inviting him to visit him at the university. Linghu thanks the Duke for the letter, and tells him that he will be his junior sister. The teacher tells Linghu that the whole academy has been filled with rumors concerning his sister, and that he hopes that the dean will give her a second chance. The literature and history teacher tells the Duke that from now on, whenever there is no class, he will give Linghu a private morning to improve his strength. The Duke says that this is against the rules, but the teacher says that he has his own ways, and he will see the Duke at the night forest that evening. He is angry at the idea that he and Linghu will have to fight again, and asks the Duke if he is afraid of hurting Linghu or of hurting him.
