About This Chapter
In this short scene, Linghu tries to convince Constance to let go of him. He tells her that he will kill her again if she does not leave him alone. He then gives her a pill, which he says will help her regain her memories. Constance asks if she wants to bring back her brother, but Linghu says that the prince's house is guarded, so nothing can happen to him. Linghu tells Constance that he heard that there were fireflies in the forest outside of the palace, and that he wants her to go there to see them. Constance refuses, saying that she has caught fireflies in her hand. She tells Linghu that she did not want to kill him, but that she was captured, and he blames her for killing him.
