This chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which Cai Ming-liang, the young master of the blood-thrust tower, is being chased by a ferocious vulture. The vulture attacks him, but he escapes with his uncle, Lanling tian-fang, who has a reputation among the kingdoms of the four kingdoms. He tells us that his first priority now is to save his uncle. He says that he must not spend too much of his time in the tower, as he does not want to offend him easily. He wonders if the vulture is really his master, and he wonders if she is turning around to forgive him. He asks her to wait and see, and she says that she will come and kill him the next time she sees him. She tells him that they have only just begun their story with the tower. She asks him to wait for her inside the sky, and when he does, she will tell him what is going on. She warns him not to come any closer to the girl, and tells him to calm down.
