On their way back from the court, the duke and duchess are interrupted by the sound of a splash. The duke tells the duchess that the weather is cool and that she should sleep with him. He tells her to cover herself with a blanket or else she will catch a cold. The duchess tells him to go to a doctor and take some medicine. She tells the duke that she thinks he is a villain for coming to her when she was sick. She then tells him that he is now a rich lord and that he should take care of him. She asks him to stop nagging her when he is all good and to whisper to her not to ask him to leave her alone again. He says that after he gets better, they will set off again.
