In this chapter, the young concubine tells her master that the lord has asked her to fetch him there. He tells her that he hasn't seen her for a while, but that she's clever. He asks her why she lost the jade pendant, and she tells him that she provokes the lord this time. He refuses to see her, and he's going to torture her again. She tells him to follow her right this way, because the lord is going to take away her mother again. The young man wakes up and asks her where she is.
