In this chapter, we learn that the Duke of Guise has been spending time with his consort, the Princess of Cuihuai, in her palace. The Duke has invited Guise to visit him in order to discuss the Duke's love for her. Guise, however, refuses to see the Duke, saying that he is too busy transcribing books. He tells Guise that he has been invited by the Princess to confront the Duke for the love of the Duke. He says that he will often meet the Duke in the future, and asks the Duke to take care of him
