The next morning, Nyx wakes up to find that the meeting with the angel has ended. She asks if he has forgiven her, and he replies that he did not mean to hide the fact from her. He tells her that she is a useless queen, and that she has been trying to protect him all the time. He says that he has loved her more than she thought, and she blames herself for hurting him. She tells him that she wants to be his guardian, and asks him to listen to her father, who did not allow her to tell him the truth. She says that she knows that she and xi have been hiding everything from her, because she has a poor memory, or because she is unstable, or both. She cries, saying that she had never seen a human cry like this before. She then tells her father that the witch shouldnt have been with a human, because the witch should not have been hanging around a human. He replies that she should not cry, because tears do not suit her, but she says she still misses him very much, and wishes that she could stay with him forever. The next day, the two of them go to the moon hermits' house, where they are supposed to stay for the night, but they find that they have to leave the next day.
