The next morning, Renxi wakes up and asks what happened to the girl with the scar on her face. Renxi asks if the girl is okay, and the girl says that she was with a hermit named "victoria" . She also says that the hermits are dangerous, so Renxi can't tell the order committee that she's with the hermit. He tells Renxi that he was attacked by the monster when he was a child, and that the witch who saved him was the same witch that Renxi has been fighting with ever since. He says that he took the hermit to a treehouse built by Renxi's father to recover from the attack. The hermit, who Renxi calls "the stinky child," has never hurt Renxi or anyone else, and Renxi says he's going to kill the hermit if Renxi kills him.
