When Nyx returns to the mansion, she asks to be taken out of the room and put down on her own. She tells him that she is in a "mess" and that she wants to know what is going on. He tells her that he has seen his image as a child, but that he hasn't seen the image of his father. He asks if she can find his study, and she says that she ate the "left magic" that he gave her as a gift. She asks if he can keep his distance from her, and he says that if she doesn't leave him, he will. He says that he will serve him all his life, until death.
