Izumi, the Director of the Cradle, arrives to pick up Professor Kiriyu. Izumi tells him that he is very impressed with his research and would like to see him resume his studies at the Cradle. He says that the facility has advanced technology and that he has every confidence that the Doctor will find the place to his liking. The Doctor says that all the research he has done up to now serves as the foundation he needs to understand the new revelations. He does not want to question the ways of the cradle, but he does want to win.
