Back at the factory, the gang tells the kid that they'll never see him again. They're worried that he's going to betray them, and they warn him not to do it. They also warn him that the workers are going to torture him if they catch him. The kid says he can't torture himself, but he'll have to tell them what happened to shinno. The gang tells him that shinno was once a prostitute, and that someone ratted them out to the factory brass. He says he doesn't know what the harm is in borrowing so much money.
