About This Chapter
The bell rings, and Bochuanjiuji tells us that he's on the blacklist because he feeds flowers to the plage creator. He's worried that the lords of the rose court will show up at his door, looking for him. He asks if they're looking for the "nightingale attendants" , who are hired by the lords to serve them at their leisure. They're the "higher rank" of the mockingbird, and they've got the right to live among the lords. He tells himself that if only he could be the "highness's" nightingale, he'd know what's going to happen to the other "mockerybirds" who don't get to live with the lord. He also tells us he wants to be one of the "only mockingbird" who gets to participate in the "Selection Only" .
