About This Chapter
The narrator and the other students discuss the need for more teachers. They want to play after school, but they don't have enough people to play with. The vice principal says that he's glad that the students rely on sensei for guidance. The narrator thinks that sensei is too much of a help to the students, and he wonders why they rely on him so much. He thinks that they'll find someone else to help them if they need someone to talk to. He wonders if the vice principal will start coming to him for advice, and the narrator doesn't know what she's talking about. The other students wonder if the demis aren't as different from the regular humans as they seem, and they wonder if they're asking for advice because they want to be different from other humans. They wonder if it's because sensei seems to be a little too grown up for the students.
