It's been a while since we've had a chance to chat with Mom and Dad, but they're getting ready for bed. They're both excited to see how their daughter is doing, and Mom says she's glad that she has such good friends. She also says that it's good to know that her daughter has friends, because it means that she doesn't have to deal with all of her own problems as a teenager. Mom says that Kyoko is in love with Ganymede ever since they started high school, but she broke it off when she found out he was pregnant. That's okay, Mom says, because Kyoko's got her life back on track now. She's even more determined to study now that she knows she'll be able to get a good job once she gets out of college. She says that she was inspired by Kyoko, and that she even met people who were inspired by her because of it. Um, that's a little weird, but Mom says it'd be hard to give birth to a "dullahan" when they were babies, because the babies' necks are always "swooped away" from their parents. But then, one day, their necks "become dullas hans" , or "just happen stance" . So Kyoko was born as a normal baby, but when she got pregnant, her neck was "spirited away" and she became a "Dullahan." Um, mom says, that sounds like a funny story, but it must have been traumatic for Kyoko to have had to go through with it.
