In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist is back at the police station. He's been practicing as a spy, and he's decided that he'd like to try his hand at being a "mogura," or spy, as he likes to call himself. He wants to be a "fashion and pin-up model" , but he doesn't want to risk his life for that. He says that his childhood friend was a "magua," or mole, for short, and failed miserably in the end. He tells us that there are people who work as a mole until they die, and that they've even gone so far as to hide their identity from their family and friends. The protagonist says that he still wants to try being a mole, even though he knows that it's a dangerous job. He admits that he didn't know it was a difficult job, but that he wants to give it another shot. He also says that, even in the case of the sensei, he would have been a mogura if he had been given the chance. He explains that he can do the job better than anyone else, because he has the latest technology to do it.
