It's been a while since we've heard from the narrator, but he's back. He's happy to be back in high school and ready to go back to his job as a teacher. He tells us that he and his wife are going to take a "bath together" , which is a euphemism for sex. We're not sure what that means, but it's pretty clear that he wants to have sex with his wife.
