In this short scene, the young protagonist tries to convince his father that he is no genius and that he has no way to defeat the city of Paris. He tells him that the city has a few loose screws, and that it will take him a long time to get away. He also tells his father to prepare himself for battle, as he is interested in reconstructing the un-explained world with his own hands. He says that he will put his father out of his misery, so that he never makes such a mistake in the future.
