About This Chapter
Two months later, Marie is back on the ship. She's got a bunch of new parts for the ship, and she's psyched to be able to use them again. She tells Marie that the cannon that blew up in the Akihabara is her revenge against the world, and that she'll use it to get to the bottom of the world's problems. Uh-oh. Oh, wait, what's that cannon for? It's the main cannon from the giant machine that blew the hole in the sea wall. Marie asks where that cannon is, and Marie tells her that she hasn't told anyone where it is. Marie says that she can't wait to get back to work, because she needs to do something urgent. She wants to protect everyone, but she doesn't know how to do it. She asks Marie if she can just tell the anchor to wait for 72 minutes. Marie is shocked that Marie would think that magic would solve everything. She says that Marie is a genius, but that's just because she thinks things are always possible. Marie points out that she was able to repair the anchor and the ryuzu herself, and even halter herself, without anyone else's help. Marie wants to know why the moron is trying to tell her that it's impossible to do anything. Marie tells him that he's jealous of her, and he wants her "fragile talent" . He wants her to take anything he wants and get lost in the process. Marie admits that she wishes that they could solve everything together, and everyone would just die.
