In this chapter, Huck finds a shell on the beach and tells his father that he has found a shell. He tells Huck that he wants to go with his father to the beach, but that he doesn't want Huck and his father alone together. Huck asks if his mother has a meeting on Sunday, and his mother says that she does, but Huck is still too small to understand the meaning of Sunday.
