The scene opens with a kiss between Roxane and Souda. Roxane is worried that she has not done well in the midterms. She tells Souda that she will not be invited to a party because she has to go to her teaching colleague's office to get some coffee. When she asks if anyone else is in the room, she is told that they are all in the en-trance. She asks if they can meet up in the trance. They agree to meet up, but Roxane refuses to join them, saying that she does not want to invite anyone. She says she will tell Souda to stare at her, and then she will go and get coffee.
