About This Chapter
The scene opens with Hiroyuki's entrance. Hiroyuki tells the audience that he has come to talk to the Governess. The Governess asks him if he would like to see the play again, but Hiroyuki says that he would rather not, since he has not yet seen the play with the cast. He then asks Hiroyuki what he should do now that he is not with the rest of the group. He asks if she would like him to give her the lines he has written for the play. She tells him that she has already written the lines, but that she will not be able to perform them until after the play has been performed. She then asks him to go home with her, but he refuses, saying that he wants to wait for the rain to stop.
