In this chapter, we learn that Cai Ling's father, Hu Ming's, has been hanging out with a bunch of other guys after hanging up with Cai Ling. He's depressed because he hasn't had a good night's sleep in a long time. He tells us that his daughter has called him and wants to know why he's hanging out so much. He says that she wants him to find someone to take care of the injured boys and heal them up so that they can get back on their feet again. Hu Ming is all, "Fine, I'm going to find a way to heal these boys up and take them back to their families." He also tells Cai Ling that he has been wearing the same earrings since he was a kid, and that he'll learn to love her even if it means hurting her.
