In this short scene, we learn that the protagonist, a girl named Aizz, is in love with her boyfriend, a boy named Haihua. Aizz tells her that Haihua has followed his girl, and she is heartbroken. She tells Haihua that she is afraid that she will lose her job if she brings up the subject of Haihua's love for her. Haihua tells Aizz that he loves her too, and that he has been engaged to her ever since they were young children. He tells her to stop talking nonsense, because he was too small at the time to understand what she was saying. He says that he stole the movie from his cousin, who was also a young boy. He asks Haihua why he needs to watch the movie, but she says that she does not understand why she needs to see it. She says she feels sorry for inviting Haihua to come to her house, and feels that she must create a new generation of young people. She asks him if he wants to try the movie with her, and he says he does, but the people in the movie look so happy. He goes on to say that he is a junior high student, so he cannot try it because he has homework to do. He feels that he does not have the common sense to do his homework, and so he is going back to his house to finish it. He receives a note from his mother saying that he should go to the Atlantic to look for his mother's expenses.
