The narrator tells us that he's a student at the University of California, Berkeley. He's been hanging out with his girlfriend, Senior, and she's having a great time. He tells her that he wants to hang out with her, too, but he doesn't know where to start. He wants to go see a movie with her. He asks her if she'd like to go with him to the theater with him. She says no, but she'll go anyway. The narrator says he'd rather be friends with her than with a guy who's stalking her. The two of them go into the theater and sit in the back row of the theater. They're so close to the screen that they feel like they're in the middle of the action. They don't even have to talk to each other, though, because they can hear each other's voices.
