It's been raining all day, and the rain has finally stopped. The narrator asks Kim lum if he's heard the guy say that it's good to stop being ingenuous. Kim says that he hasn't, but he does say that to return things to normal, there's magic in turning things back. He also says that to turn things around is to stab them back to normal. Kim is so impressed that she wants to thank everyone for their kind words. She says that she's never heard praise like that before, but now she feels like a "remarkable witch" . She thanks everyone for being kind to her, even though she doesn't really know how to be kind to others. She asks if the stew is good, and she says that it is, but she can't remember what kind it is. She wonders if she should change the subject to something else.
