About This Chapter
It's been two weeks after the wedding, and the wedding is still going on. Sonya is frustrated that the king hasn't stopped hugging her. She's going to take his hand away if he doesn't stop. She wants to know what the king's decision is on the matter. He's got a bunch of decisions to make. First, he has to decide whether or not to banish the king from the palace. He can do that with a simple banishment, but he can't do it with a lot of physical contact, so he'll have to think about it. He also has to figure out a way to make the king feel better about the situation. So he tells her to be kind to the king, because it's a bad sign that he's already so in love with her. He tells her not to act so cold, but to be more affectionate to the man. He warns her to make sure to treat the man with kindness, because this is the state in which the king needs extra affection, and she needs to make him feel better. She tells him to be careful, because if he gets too affectionate, it might melt his heart. She also tells him not to touch the man too much, because that might melt the man's heart. But she's not sure that's the right thing to do, because the king is supposed to communicate with his subjects, not with his servants. So she gives him a kiss, and tells him that she'll give him another kiss if he does what she says.
