"My carnivorous young boyfriend" is the first line of dialogue in this chapter. It begins with the narrator asking his young lover if he's ever done anything like this before. He asks if he can show him how to do it the way he usually does it. The narrator says he'll try it, and the two of them begin to do the same thing. They're both so excited by the idea that they're about to do something "so bold" that they start to feel a little twitchy. This is the kind of twitch that you get when you're in love with someone, and it's why the narrator is so excited. He says he wants to "make love long" with his lover.
