In this chapter, we learn that Tommo has finally gotten his mother's approval to go on vacation. He's so excited that he wants to buy her a souvenir , and she's all, "Oh, that's pretty good one" . She's happy to see that he doesn't have a lot of money, but she still wants him to have a nice room with a nice view of the ocean and a nice private bath. Tommo says he'd like to stay in this room, but he's worried that they'll be late for dinner. He tells her that he works in a different building, so he can't complain about the fact that he has a nicer room. He also says that he and Tommo have been waiting for this vacation for a long time, so they're happy to get what they want. They're going to go in the room with the view, and he says, "Hey, hey, hey , I'd love to get a private bath" , which makes Tommo happy. He says he wishes he could have his phone with him so he could talk to her. He wishes he had his phone on him, too, because he misses her so much.
