The scene opens with the narrator lamenting that his younger colleague is "too unfriendly" and that he plans to "put it inside" of her. He wonders if there is anywhere she would like to go and what she likes. The narrator tells us that the dolphin show is almost upon us. He asks if he can go watch it, but the narrator tells him that it is "fine" , and that the next performance will take place at 3pm. He tells the narrator that the rain has soaked his clothes, and he wonders if they can lend him a towel or some other thing to dry his wet clothes. He then asks the narrator to come with him, and the narrator says that he is on a date that day.
