In this short scene, the young woman tells her sister that she does not want to die, but that she needs someone to help her. She says that she will entrust her to a doctor in the refugee camp. The young woman says that her family contributed a great deal to the disaster relief and that they did not do it for "fame or reward" . She adds that she is sure that the doctor will find a cure for her sister. She tells the girl that she should not cry because crying will not make her happy. The girl replies that she did not like lu-zhiling because she wanted to annul her marriage with her fourth brother. She explains that she has never seen her brother but that he still defends her and treats her so well. She asks the girl why she doesn't like her brother, and the girl says that the only thing she wants her brother to do is to break off their engagement. She also says that he will be a concubine of the emperor of south-chu, and that the emperor needs love for his kingdom but not for her.
