The Governess tells the Governess that she admires her for saving Zillah's life. She also tells her that Zillah married her father because she was in love with him. She tells her to go down to the river and wash herself, because the hot sun will cure her anger. She then tells Zillah that if she gets sick and falls ill, the person who saved her will make a difference.
