The narrator tells us that the king of the southland has sent an assassin to kill the guards of the east palace. He orders them to kill all the guards and burn them. The narrator then tells us the story of how the king poured the blood of the bug on his royal body. The blood is the bug's favorite food. He tells the narrator to go to the doctor and tell him what happened. The doctor will make him better before he dies
