In this chapter, we learn that the fourth brother, Hu, is a gambler, and that his sister-in-law, Mi, is also a gambler. Mi's grandmother, who is also the mother of Hu's grandson, scolds Hu and Mi for neglecting to tell her about the princess's gambling escapades. She also criticizes Mi for being a disobedient girl, and wonders if Mi is even as talented as Hu.
