In this chapter, the three travelers discuss their journey to the city. The three of them are extremely high-spirited, and they discuss how they will repay the man who has carried them for ten miles. The man is the Marquis of reverence, the son of the Emperor. The Marquis is a member of the "six arts of gentlemen" , a group of men who study the fine arts of art to achieve greatness. He is also a good swimmer, a good dancer, and a good athlete. He has a healthy body, and he is not afraid of sleeping in the wilderness.
