About This Chapter
The next morning, the gang meets up with Mr. Manette. They've been waiting for a long time, and they finally get a chance to meet up with him. He's super excited to see them, since he's so new to the city. He tells them that they're in the middle of nowhere, and that they can't really afford to go to a fancy restaurant that's not open to the public. He also tells the gang that the guy at the top of the food chain doesn't have a lot of trust issues, so it's going to be hard for them to get him to open up to them. The gang is all, "dude, we've got to get to know you better before we can talk to you." They're going to have to win over the guy's friends first, though, since they don't want to be friends with strangers. The group then turns to the topic of Hiroshige's death, and the gang says that he was a great man who helped the country's poor and needy. They drink some coffee, which is a good thing, because they'll be able to seal their friendship with the guy from the other side of the room.
