In this chapter, we are told that the ghost of Togashi appears in the middle of the night. He has been shot in the back and is unconscious. He is accompanied by his wife and daughter. He tells them that he has seen better days. He says that he will send one of his workers to stare at the dead body every time there is an action. He thanks them for their concern and says that they are always dead in the eye. He asks them to look out for him and reminds them that they were always looking out for each other. He adds that he was always reminded of his brother, who was always there to protect him. He explains that he is the heiress of the Osaki Heavy Industries empire and that he ran a successful campaign for mayor of New Port. For the first time in his life, things are not going his way. It is his first taste of defeat.
