Now that the water level has risen to the point where it's safe to swim, Beary, Tsunagi, and the others have another exit. The smell of jam makes them feel free, and they decide to take a nap. Tsuna, however, is not having it. She's been talking about the "black haze" that's coming from the dam. Beary says that he doesn't like the haze when he gets angry, but he's sure that if the water were dirty, there would be no black haze in the first place. They decide to play outside, since the exits aren't sealed off. They also decide to spy on Aterli, who's on his way to the "channeling agency" . They intercept him en route, and he tells them that they'll get something special out of him. They whisper to each other, just like they asked them to, to keep up the good work. They stop at the "secret hideout" where they were hiding as kids, and Beary tells them to hurry up and find a way out of the dam, because the water is rising too fast. They're going to be trapped, he says, if they go back inside.
