In this short scene, Desdemona tries to play a game of hide-and-seek with his friends, but he can't bring himself to do it all the time. He's tired of the game and wants to do something more serious with his life. He tells his friends that he's going to have to go back to the army, and he tells them to pack their stuff and get ready to go.
