In this short scene, the gang learns that the village bandits have burned down the family's medical establishment, and that a'cheng is still unconscious. They decide to meet up with the bandits first, and then deal with them later. The gang asks bai if he's doing anything stupid, and he says no. They're his only family, and they can't do stupid things. They whisper that the bandits are already searching the bushes, and if they trust bai, there's still hope for them to get away alive. Big Brother tells bai that his son's business has been destroyed, but that the fire hasn't totally gone out. He says that if his guess is right, the Golden-Lock guy will be hiding in his tomb right now, so he'll meet them first. Sob, sob... they're men, how can we lose tears so easily. But little bai isn't a kid anymore. He's smart and resourceful, he says, and will be fine. They finally wake up, and Big Brother says that his head is still hurt.
