Since his mother and brother have both died, A'cheng has been neglected by his father, who has not sent anyone to search for him. He is hungry, so he decides to go to the market and buy some food. He buys some salt from the market before dawn. He goes to the store in the middle of the night, when the staff is asleep. When he gets there, he finds that the staff has already left the store. He packs a pouch of salt and leaves it next to the staff's unconscious body. He then goes to get the gold ingot back.
