"Charming bandit" , the narrator says, "finally did it" . He's been waiting for his father to come back, and now that he's done, he wants to know why he didn't tell him earlier. He tells his brother that his father has been spying on him for a while, and that his brother is reciting a poem while holding a book upside down . The narrator says that he spent a lot of time on these things, and he'll take care of them for his brother if he doesn't want them to be thrown away. He compares his brother's studies to the prince's, and says that his mother worked in a brothel, so she knows that there's blood in him. He also says that the guy who asked him which way to go to the south is handsome, and the narrator feels "like a new person" after taking a dump. He asks his brother what the guy told him, and his brother says he told him to go north. He says that's the wrong direction, because he told the guy to keep going south. He apologizes to his brother for being unhelpful, and promises to help him put on his clothes if he apologizes sincerely.
