A bandit wakes up in the village and demands to know what's going on. A'cheng tells him to get out of the village or else he'll have to eat some of the sticks from the sticks. He tells the bandit that he's a good shelter and that there aren't a lot of people around, so he won't be a threat to anyone. He explains that he can't eat because he can only put food in his mouth when there are other living creatures around. One day, he saves a squirrel from a hunting trip. The squirrel is grateful to him, and he feels a bit warm in his heart when he sees the acorn on the squirrel's head. The next day, however, the squirrel doesn't show up. He's mad at himself for leaving him and for not being able to explain why it left him. He asks the squirrel if he had a bad dream about a squirrel that didn't come back.
